Breath & Being

The people behind Breath & Being

Meet Sammy & Jordy.

We came to breathwork on two different paths. We share one intention: to create a welcoming place to practise.

Breathwork has been a deeply transformative part of my life, and something I feel passionate about sharing. After discovering the practice, I completed intensive training and mentorship in Thailand. I kept learning through workshops and my own study. Time spent facilitating taught me too. Long before I understood the science, I used conscious breathing for anxiety and overwhelm, especially when my mind wouldn’t switch off. It was the first practice that gave me a truly quiet mind and a deeper connection with myself and my body. What I value most is the connection shared breath can create within a person and among the people in the room.

My path to breathwork wasn’t straight. It grew through years of inner work and personal practice, alongside a growing understanding of how people operate. Breathwork was one of the tools that helped me then. It still is. That experience shapes how I guide: a session is something to explore at your own pace, with support close by. Alongside the group evenings, I have a particular passion for private work, because there is more room for individual attention and the session can respond to what you’re working with. Sammy and I take turns guiding on Tuesdays, and we’re both there to support the room.

Our approach

Breathing patterns, chosen on purpose.

Modern life keeps the body switched on. The practices work in the other direction. Conscious connected breathing, heart coherence, breath retention, guided visual journeys and sound, chosen to bring the nervous system back toward balance.

There is no right or wrong way to experience a session. Tingling, temperature changes, deep calm, emotion, or nothing much at all are all normal. You stay in control the whole way through, and you can slow down or rest whenever you need to.
